The Juniata boys basketball team found itself in a nail biting contest against Mount Union.
In the end, the Indians came out victorious in a 49-45 Overtime contest Friday night.
Leading the way for the Indians were Caleb Smith and Wyatt Stoner with 10 points each.
Rounding out the double-digit scorers was Seth Laub with nine.
Mount Union was led by Jayvien Brumbaugh who scored a game-high 16 points while teammate Bryce Danish rallied 10.
The Trojans opened the contest outscoring Juniata 11-3.
But the Indians flipped to switch in the second quarter as they outscored the Trojans 14-4.
Going into the intermission Juniata clung to a 17-15 lead.
Things continued to be close in the third as the Trojans were able to take back the scoring advantage by a 17-13 margin.
The two finished regulation tied.
In the overtime period, Juniata was able to muscle out the win, posting five while Mount Union had only two.
Scoring the winning baskets for Juniata was Laub with three and Ebel Gonzalez with two.
