Taking their show on the road!
Bellefonte continued to keep rolling right along.
Saturday, the Red Raiders made the trip to play St. Mary’s for an afternoon matinee.
The Red Raiders bats are still sizzling as it defeated the Flying Dutchman 8-0.
Bellefonte scattered seven hits to go with the eight runs.
Offensively, the Red Raiders were Derek Fravel and Triston Heckman as both had two hits in the contest. Heckman had the hot bat bringing in 5 RBIs. Fravel scored twice in the win.
Doubles were the Bellefonte specialty of the day as they finished with four. Picking up the doubles for the “Red and White” were Heckman, Trevor Johnson, Fravel and Josh Brown.
Peyton Vancas had a stellar day on the mound, going the distance, striking out eight and allowing only seven hits in the victory.
St. Mary’s Carter Price was the team’s only multiple hitters.
Bellefonte opened the game in grand fashion, posting four runs in the inning.
Braedyn Kormanic led off the game with a single.
Fravel moves Kormanic to third after posting the team’s first double.
Alex Ebeling followed with a walk to load the bases.
Heckman brought in two with a double, making it a 2-0 advantage.
Johnson follows with a 2RBI double to center, ending the first inning scoring.
In the second, the Red Raiders add two more to their lead when a Heckman single brought in Fravel and Kormanic.
Defensively, the Red Raiders cruised the contest.
Bellefonte added some insurance runs in the fifth and sixth to take home the victory.
