Motley Crue drummer spoke candidly about his most recent bout with the bottle during an in-depth chat with Yahoo Entertainment. Lee, who’s now 58, releases his latest solo set, titled Andro, on October 16th. The album features contributions from Buckcherry’s Josh Todd, Post Malone, Brooke Candy, and rappers Killvein, Push Push, and Grimes.

Lee talked about how bad his alcohol abuse had gotten prior to his last stand in rehab, remembering, “It was crazy. I mean, I’ve been sober for four years, and I’ve been sort of on and off for a long time. I go through these phases where I just want to live a different life and f* all the dumb s. And then I decide, ‘Y’know what? I don’t want to live like that anymore. I want to have a lot of play and be fed up and stupid and all that s*.”
