Ticketmaster is getting ready for the return of live events in 2021, and says that as part of their new framework, they’ll require proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID test within a 24-72 hour window before allowing a person admission to an event. The news released earlier this week that Pfizer and BioNTech had developed a COVID-19 vaccine with a 90-percent trial success rate caused stock prices for live music companies to jump, prompting Ticketmaster to make plans. How it will work is that once a fan gets a COVID-19 vaccine or tests negative for the disease within the 24-72 hour window, a health pass will deliver that information to Ticketmaster, allowing the person entry into the event using Ticketmaster’s app. Right now there is no date for when Ticketmaster will no longer require COVID-19 precautions.
