Who fans can bid to win some of Pete Townshend‘s stage wear and help some deserving people in the process. TheWho.com posted that an open auction will take place on Sunday (January 31st) to win the guitarist’s boiler suit and duster coat, which he wore several times on the band’s recent full orchestral “Moving On!” tour dates. All proceeds will go to the MusicCares Charity Relief Auction.

The message posted reads in full:

Pete Townshend has very kindly donated his navy blue boiler suit and his beige linen duster coat to the MusicCares Charity Relief Auction. The auction is hosted by Julien’s Auctions and will take place in Beverly Hills, CA and online on Sunday, January 31st, 2021 at 1:00pm PST.

The MusiCares Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1989 by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.MusiCares provides a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need… treating each case with integrity and confidentiality.

Pete wore both items at The Who’s show at Wembley, London on July 6th, 2019 and in the U.S. at Alpine Valley, Wisconsin on September 8th, 2019; Wantagh, New York on September 15th, 2019; and L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl on October 24th, 2019.
