Megadeth‘s Dave Mustaine has earned his Jiu-Jitsu purple belt at 59-years-old. Blabbermouth reported the guitarist received the new ranking two years after earning his blue belt, and was “promoted by Reggie Almeida, who leads Gracie Barra Spring Hill in Tennessee, near Mustaine’s hometown of Franklin.”
Mustaine currently holds black belts in taekwondo and Ukidokan karate. Back in 2007, the World Taekwondo Federation named him as a Goodwill Ambassador of the World. The Megadeth leader successfully battled back a 2019 throat cancer diagnosis.
