Former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke spoke candidly on how the ascendance of grunge pretty much stripped the band of the street cred they had earned up through the early-’90s.


  • Gilby Clarke joined Guns N’ Roses in 1991, replacing co-founder Izzy Stradlin during the band’s Use Your Illusion tour.
  • Clarke appeared on the band’s Spaghetti IncidentLive Era ’88-’91 and The Greatest Hits albums.
  • He currently splits his time between his solo career and Kings Of Chaos led by Matt Sorum and an all-star alumni that has featured Steven TylerJoe Elliot, and Gene Simmons.
