Ground Control supergroup with Dave Navarro, Corey Taylor, Foo Fighters‘ Taylor Hawkins and Jane’s Addiction‘s Chris Chaney have signed on to take the virtual stage for A Bowie Celebration: Just For One Day! global streaming concert. The concert streams at 6 p.m. PT on Friday (Jan. 8th) and will be available for 24 hours. The event celebrates what would have been Bowie’s 74th birthday and the weekend of the fifth anniversary of his passing.

Other new additions to the lineup include Boy George, Taylor Momsen and Ricky Gervais.

The all-star show will also feature previously announced artists Duran Duran, Trent Reznor, William Corgan, YUNGBLUD, Peter Frampton, Andra Day, Adam Lambert, Gary Oldman, Gavin Rossdale, Joe Elliott, Perry Farrell, Lzzy Hale, and Charlie Sexton, to name a few.

  • Two dollars from every A Bowie Celebration ticket will be donated to the Save the Children organization.
  • In 1997, the organization was the beneficiary of funds raised from Bowie’s sold-out 50th Birthday Concert held in Madison Square Garden.
