I ended up at a new record shop the other day, and was blown away by their selection! They had more new rock on vinyl than you could imagine plus all the classic rock you would need to sink a ship! I have to hand it to todays vinyl cut artist for having literally the most eye catching album art! One look at Prequelle, by ghost and you can feel dystopian landscape engulf you… it’s the perfect setting for Halloween!
Todays cut is going to be the track ‘Rats’ off this album. This album marks the beginning of a new era in ghost as it’s the first album to feature Tobias Forges altar ego ‘Cardinal Copia’ as well as a new band of nameless ghouls.
Hailing from Sweden, Ghost has been active in the rock world since 2006 and their fourth album Prequelle is a tour de force of hard rockin’ anthems! According to Forge, Rats was written as an opener for large stadiums for the audience to get amped up to. Ghost has another song they use for the same purpose and that’s 2016’s ‘Square Hammer’ off of the Popestar album.
