Bon Jovi has dipped its toes into the holiday waters with a new EP featuring four new Christmas recordings. The digital release features a cover of the Tom Petty yuletide favorite “Christmas All Over Again” — which was first released on 1992’s A Very Special Christmas 2, the Pogues’ “Fairytale Of New York” — with Jon Bon Jovi having re-written one Kristy MacColl’s verses, which hasn’t aged particularly well in light of political correctness.

The band also tackles Elvis Presley’s “If I Get Home On Christmas Day,” which was originally featured on “The King’s” second holiday set, 1971’s Elvis Sings The Wonderful World Of Christmas.

SIDE NOTES

  • Bon Jovi ‘s exclusive concert documentary, On A Night Like This – Bon Jovi 2020, is available on YouTube.
  • The special features the first and only time the band has performed its latest album, Bon Jovi 2020, in its entirety.
