The success of AC/DC‘s Power Up album continues to earn the band newfound accolades. Billboard reported “AC/DC brothers Angus and Malcolm Young tie at Number One on Billboard’s Hard Rock Songwriters chart — dated January 30th — each leading for the first time thanks to a pair of songwriting credits on the latest chart.”

The week sees the band’s “Shot In The Dark” track sitting at Number Three on Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs, after a six-week run at Number One. The band’s latest single, “Realize,” which originally topped out at Number Four, has re-entered the chart at Number 12.

  • In addition to topping the Billboard 200 albums chart in the U.S., AC/DC‘s latest album Power Up has hit Number One in 21 other countries.
  • AC/DC’s previous studio set, 2014’s Rock Or Bust, topped out at Number Three in the U.S.
  • The band’s last U.S. Number One was 2008’s Black Ice.
